WHY LUX LASER?
Over the years sun exposure and the wear and tear of everyday living may have resulted in the visible signs of aging such as sun spots, fine lines, and loss of your natural healthy glow. HALO® uses laser technology to eliminate years of damage. The laser triggers your body’s natural healing response revealing the luminous glow you had when you were younger.
In the past, you had to choose between a procedure that offered really great results but required a lengthy recovery, or a procedure with a fast recovery but marginal results. Now with HALO you get the best of both worlds, HALO® creates beautiful results without the downtime of more aggressive treatments. It combines deep dermal revitalization with epidermal renewal for a combined synergistic effect you can’t get with any other treatment.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Sciton Halo uses a unique dual-wavelength laser that allows for precise treatment of both the surface and deeper layers of the skin. The ablative wavelength targets the outer layer of the skin, removing damaged cells and promoting new skin growth. The non-ablative wavelength penetrates deeper into the skin to stimulate collagen production and enhance the skin's overall structure and appearance.

What Should I Do Before My Treatment? Before your treatment, we advise all of our clients to refer to the following: - Avoid tanning and sunless tanners for about 2-3 weeks prior, during, and after completion of the full course of treatment. - Avoid wearing any moisturizers and/or oils before treatment on any area. - Apply 50+ broad-spectrum SPF sunscreens regularly. - Shave areas to be treated 24 hours prior to treatment or morning of treatment. - Do not pluck, wax, epilate, or perform other hair reduction treatments before, during, and after your treatment. However, shaving may be continued during treatment. - Inform us of any current oral or topical medications including antibiotics, as some photosensitive medication should be avoided prior to laser hair reduction treatments. - Avoid makeup or other cosmetic products the day of treatment. - Topical anesthetic (numbing cream) is available for sensitive areas. Clients must arrive 30 minutes prior to treatment for application.
-
What Should I Do After My Treatment? After your treatment, it is recommended that you keep the affected area cool, while being cognizant to avoid direct ice contact. In addition, it is recommended that you avoid hot showers, baths, and saunas, along with strenuous activity that might increase your body heat. We recommend icing the area with cold wash cloths thoroughly. In addition, aloe vera can be used to keep the skin cool and lubricated, if necessary. Avoid any type of tanning and keep the treated areas protected from the sun by regularly applying 50+ broad-spectrum SPF.

Are There People Who Shouldn’t Get Laser Hair Reduction Treatments? Those who are pregnant, nursing, or taking certain medications should not undergo laser hair reduction treatments, or they must wait or be cleared by their primary care physician before starting treatments. Clients with certain medical conditions are also not considered to be ideal candidates for this treatment. Laser hair reduction works by delivering energy and targeting melanin, the brown pigment of the hair. We advise those with white, blonde, or red hair to speak with our technicians prior to treatment, as some hairs cannot be targeted properly.
-
How Many Laser Treatments Will I Need?Laser hair reduction is effective when performed in a series of treatments. If you have never undergone laser treatment before for the desired area, we recommend a base of 6 sessions. You will see results after each treatment and depending on your desired results, additional treatments may be required.

What If I Have Super Thick Hair?Laser hair reduction is quite effective for thicker and more dense hair. However, you may need 10 or more sessions. As an example, men’s beards will almost always need 10+ sessions. Teenagers and those with active hormones may also need 10+ sessions.
